Requires analytical ability to efficiently review published information to identify the existence of relevant technologies. These technologies will cover a range of electrical engineering concepts including Digital Circuit Design, Analog Design, semiconductor memory circuits, Power Electronics and Signal Processing. Generate reports based on research, which examine whether the proposed technology is unique from existing patents. Communicate these findings to the Group Leader. The duties are similar to the work carried out by the US Patent office by a GS-9 Level Patent Examiners. Viable Candidate must possess a Masters’ Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or its equivalent.

Research Associate Chemistry and Materials Group (Boston, MA) – Perform technical reviews under the direction of a Group Leader. Review published information such as academic journals, industrial publications, conference proceedings as well as other registered patents to identify the existence of relevant technologies. The technologies will cover a range of chemistry subjects such as chemical engineering, bioprocess engineering, pharmaceutical and drug delivery related topics to determine the novelty of a patent. Analyze if relevant key features are present in any prior art and create summary reports to present to the Group Leader. The duties are similar to the work carried out by the US Patent office by a GS-9 Level Patent Examiners. Viable Candidate must possess a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or its equivalent.
